Points of Unity

Separation of Judaism and Zionism
JSP strives to abolish the conflation of Judaism and Zionism within our communities and the country as a whole through our militant and explicit anti-Zionist stances and political work and through building a vibrant Jewish community welcoming to Jews of all backgrounds that focuses on the radical values of justice found throughout Jewish tradition.

Solidarity
JSP is not here to tell Palestinian and immigrant led organizations how to do there work, but to work alongside them as comrades in the struggle to figure out how to best use our collective power to achieve our goals.

Joyful Militancy
JSP is guided by the ideas of joyful militancy and strives to create a welcoming political space that centers the personal as well and takes relational issues in our spaces very seriously not just as “internal” problems but all encompassing ones. The personal is political.

Education
JSP encourages all forms of education, whether that be educating ourselves as individuals, educating ourselves as a collective, learning from other collectives and individuals or learning by teaching. We hope to decentralize knowledge and accompany political education with political practice.

Critical Engagement

Joyfully militant criticism is very important to JSP. We try to encourage ourselves to be critical about the world around us, the work we are doing, our comrades and ourselves.

Abolition
SP believes in the abolition of settler-colonial nations, borders, concentration camps and prisons. As an abolitionist group we are firmly opposed to punitive forms of justice and call-out culture and when members of the collective’s actions are unacceptable to the community we follow a restorative justice model.
